Wasteland Twinning Network Berlin is holding The Fallow Games, a day of international sports activity and appropriation of the city’s common lands. The Fallow Games is part of the Wasteland Twinning Network’s ongoing action-research into land use and classification.
We are calling for the following volunteers to help coordinate the day:
Front of House
Your role will involve attracting participants, providing general information, distributing maps, registering participants, liaising and coordinating the event.
Stationmasters
Each Stationmaster will have a different role depending on the activity. You will explain the activity at your station, judge the participants and distribute points accordingly. Stationmasters will rotate positions during the afternoon.
Documenters (photographers, writers, drawers etc)
Documentation of the events for use on the Wasteland Twinning website, and other online and print media. You will be fully acknowledged accordingly.
Volunteers are vital in making the project a success.
Your contribution will be acknowledged in printed and online media relating to the event and you will be rewarded with a plentiful and tasty sausage sizzle after the event.
You will be needed for
- a lead-up rehearsal day: June 27 2012
- and the actual day: June 30 2012
The Fallow Games is free and open to all from 14.00 to 19.00 at an undisclosed location. The starting line is Schillingsbrücke, Kreuzberg.
