I have been monitoring the site in Cartntyne almost daily, but due to a different routine the site in the centre of town has felt slightly out of my 'field of vision' recently. The most remarkable thing to report is the proliferation of holes cut into the fence, and the increased size of these holes. This demonstrates both the desire to get into the site - to use it - and the very real connection the site has with local people. It is this link that I would like to explore and activate over the coming months.
My 9 year old son Theo commented on these holes in the fences to my wife recently (without knowing anything about my involvement in this project) He wanted to know why people were doing doing this damage to the fences. That conversation led to an interesting discussion about ownership and consultation.
