Land Description
Situated on the corner of Riley and Albion Sts in the desirable inner city suburb of Surry Hills and close to all amenities this now fortified site has been elegantly excavated to bring out all the vibrant layers and textures formally hidden from view. This excavation and the resultant water seepage have led to the formation of a small elegant wasteland lake complete with bird-life. Trees and vines are flourishing around the perimeter undermining the edginess of the site and eluding to Sydney harbour, which is located only moments away.
There is Evidence of past incursions in the form of some tasteful graffiti on an old container and sets of plastic cups placed artistically in an old diamonded wire fence now lying on the ground. Ubiquitous plastic milk crates are scattered liberally adding to the ambiance.
In response to incursions security has been increased to the point where dogs have been used. This now serves to balance the wild with the domestic on site.
